Benefits of Fasting to the Body
*Reduce Bad Cholesterol: Having too much Cholesterol in the Body is Bad news as it causes narrow arteries. When this occurs, it makes it harder for blood to flow. This in turn alters the blood pressure of the person affected. When fatty wax deposits forms around the blood passage channel, it causes different types of heart diseases which includes Atherosclerosis, heart attack, high blood pressure (hypertension), Angina (chest pain), Peripheral Arterial disease and Stroke. When cholesterol has accumulated in the body, it triggers prolonged head aches. It causes fatigue making the affected person to easily get tired after little work or exercise. The Cholesterol (Waxy Fat) is not necessarily a liability but an asset as it allows growth of Healthy Cells in the Body. It becomes a problem when the Cholesterol level rises. Consumption of too much fatty foods cause cholesterol accumulation. Fasting systematically gets rid of the waxy fat when it is done for a prolonged period. This then balances the cholesterol level of the body. The body makes use of hidden and stored calories when there is shortage of food. It uses the fats and calories in the body which in turn keeps the cholesterol level balanced with sound health.
*Burn Fats: Excess Fat in the Body causes obesity, Loss of Libido or Sex drive, low self esteem, weight discrimination, Asthma, diabetes, kidney stones and more. Obesity has been one of the highest causes of health related deaths. Obese people fight with a lot of issues. Some obesity issues were not necessarily caused by overfeeding or bad nutrition but by Genetic transfer. It is in the blood so it happens with little or no efforts. Some organizations are known for weight discrimination when recruiting staffs. They believe obese staffs will have low productivity due to assumed laziness while they think they will spend more on the staffs' health insurance due to health issues of obese people. Fasting helps to burn fat in the body which helps us to keep fit. An attempt to fast until body shape becomes perfectly toned is not advised as this can lead to death. Discretion and doctors advice is also to be strongly put into consideration before embarking on fasting. One of the important spices of a healthy marriage relationship is sexual activities. Obesity causes low libido which can be a major setback in marriage relationships.
*Balances PH Levels: PH levels in the Body stands for Potential Hydrogen. It is used for measuring hydrogen ion concentration. The normal PH level of the body which is 7.30 - 7.45 is slightly Alkaline. When the PH level falls below 6.8 or above 7.8 cells stop functioning and the patient dies. Low PH level reduced the body's ability to fight sicknesses and health problems. This is because the immunity of the body has dropped at this level. Vitamins, minerals and food supplements don't is not absorbed for use in the body's PH level is not balanced. Taking fruits and plenty water to break a long fast helps to work as anti-oxidants which balances PH levels in the Body.
*Reduce Sugar Concentration: When the body accumulates unused calories in the body, they turn to sugar which hides in the body. Excess sugar in the body can lead to diabetes and also tiredness. During long fasting periods, the body depends on the sugar that has been stored in the body over time. It is used up and converted to energy to sustain the body. During this period, the body gets rid of the excess sugar allowing it to retain quantity needed only.
*Kills Stomach Worms: Some troublesome worms feed on food people eat. When they are in a persons body, the person gets hungry easily. This is because the worms are eating and using up calories meant for the body. After they feed on it, waste is what is left. These worms find it difficult to survive without food. This means during long fasting they eventually die of hunger as no food is coming in.
*Relaxes Digestive Organs: Digestive organs are always working when we are eating. Their work load increases when we consume a lot of food. Overworking them is not good and can cause purging sometimes or other stomach issues. These organs relax during fasting, helping them to be refreshed and recover normally.
