Why Dog Lovers cannot do without them
1.Dogs Communicate: Dogs love to communicate with humans through sounds and signs just like Meta and Verbal Communication in human beings. Dogs become strongly emotionally attached to people and even read moods. They know when their owners are in a good mood and in a bad mood. They know the difference between a calm voice and a stern voice. They sometimes try to draw your attention to themselves if you have not communicated in a long while. They happily welcome their owners when they have been away from home. This simply shows they have missed them. These unique traits make dog owners treat them more than just an animal but like real family members. Some dogs are intelligently trained that they take instructions from humans. That's why they are called man's best friend. They communicate by licking people they love with their pink sticky tongues. They communicate by wagging their tail to a familiar face when they are excited and keeping their tails and hair up when a strange person or dog approaches their. Territoy. They bark briefly and kick plates when they are hungry. They also growl deeply when they are angry or threatened.
Dogs howl and cry out loudly when they are in pain. They make whining sounds when they want attention.
2.Dogs are Protective: Some time ago two Rottweiler dogs attacked a car parked by armed robbers. They were able to make it difficult for the robbers to escape after they angrily pierced the tyres of the car with their Canines. Guard Dogs always bark loudly when a stranger comes close to their owners or their territory. A German Shepherd Dog once foiled a robbery operation in a Car lot. The dog attacked the robbers, some fled while one was unlucky. The unlucky one was gruesomely bitten and kept under close watch by the dog till the owner came to the Car Lot in the morning and invited the police. Some stealth guard dogs attack before barking while some bark and give escape option before attacking. Some trained guard dogs don't attack all strangers especially if they are not a threat to them of their owners.
3.Dogs are Hunters: keeping dogs in a compound is equal to keeping pests off a compound. Dogs feel like king of the Jungle when they are in their territory. They find it difficult to accommodate any other crawling thing as long as it is not a familiar house pet. Dogs kill birds, lizards, rats, snakes and other reptiles. A German shepherd dog once had a serious fight with a black Cobra. The dog tried to ensure the territory was snake free while the snake wanted to kill the dog as it was on a hunting mission. Both of them however got unlucky. The snake sprayed the dogs eyes with its poisonous venom which burns like an acid while the dog choked the snake to death with its claw and teeth.
4.Dogs Love Company: Some people see dogs around them as an antidote for loneliness. They hate being alone but consider the option of a dog company good enough. A dog always like to keep their owners company when they are home. It is a win win scenario because the Dogs enjoy the company of the owners as much as the owners enjoy it. They see farther than man and hear what man may not hear. Hence their company is always to a great advantage.
5.Dogs are good Escorts: Dogs always want to follow their owners around if they are allowed. They continue their company, protection, communication and hunting functions while following their owners around. Hunters are always know to have dogs escorting them around while they hunt in forests. One of the advantage of them escorting their owners is that they get acquainted with the routes. They mark path ways by urinating very often while walking on long trips. They could use the smell. Of that urine to find their way back home alone even when they loose track of their owner somehow.
6.Dogs Love to Play: Dogs love to play. Kennel clubs have different shows to showcase the potentials of different dog breeds some go swimming and do many other interesting things. Some dog owners play by running around in their big compounds with their dogs. Some do this intentionally as an exercise to burn unwanted calories and loose weight. Watching dogs play with each other even when the owner is not involved is also fun. They try all sorts of things like threat plays which look dangerous but on the long run both dogs enjoy the session confirming they were just playing.
7.Dogs Lead the Blind: Many blind people are know to keep dogs. This is because the dogs help them to move around when they are not there. Some walk-sticks are strategically tied to dog collars so that the dog leads the way for the owner. They do this keeping them away from harm. The dog tries to make sure their blind owner does not run into a hole a stationary thing worthy of causing harm.
8.Dogs are Investigators: Dogs have been intelligently trained to identify drugs and contraband items. Some countries don't bother scanning luggage of travelers coming into the country rather they let the dogs move round. When the dogs detect strange items, they stand by the luggage in question and keep barking till the law enforcement agents come to conduct a thorough search.
9.Dogs make distress Calls: A dog owner went farming one day and fell in the farm. The dog started shouting and didn't stop till someone came around. The dog was actually calling for help. Dogs also bark continuously when they hear strange noise or movement around their territories. They use this to draw the attention of their owners and also. Chase threats away.
10.Dogs can make money for you: Taking care of dogs can be sometimes cost intensive but they dogs can also bring money back to their owners. Breeders look out for lovely pedigrees to raise the next generation of their studs. People pay when they want to use your dog to breed. Having a female dog also brings you money when they give birth and you start selling the puppies. Some individuals and security. Outfits outsource their trained guard dogs for security at special events and occasions and they are paid handsomely for the service.
The few points are some of the reasons why dog lovers cannot do without them.
