6 Reasons Your Computer Slows Down and Solutions
1. Fake Softwares:
Softwares are Programs with set of instructions that allow you to process or manipulate information or data on a computer system. Every computer runs with System softwares and application softwares. Windows operating systems for example, has diverse system softwares which are being updated by improvement of old software architectures, structures and legacy systems. Current ones range from Microsoft windows XP, windows Vista, windows 7, windows 8, windows 8.1 to windows 10. These system software are also called operating systems.
Computers depend on these System Software to run. Application software for instance will not run well on a problematic or fake operating system. The System Software or operating systems will not function properly if it is not properly installed, the installation was interrupted before completion, system software is shareware version with expired cycle, system software is demo version or the software is a pirated copy.
Focusing on the fake operating system, some software dealers actually sell more pirated software than original ones for fast profit. These fake copies work well for a short period of time, then malfunctions when it gets connected to the internet or exceeds grace period. The system shows trouble errors during start up like asking you to verify your software or takes a very long time to eventually start up. Theses problematic operating systems will frustrate the functionality of every application installed on it.

2. Too Many Start Up Programs:
When a system is booting or starting up it will call up programs that are configured as start up programs. The idea of start up programs is to ensure that the application software you use regularly and the anti-virus security or firewall of the computer is loaded up. Meanwhile some computer users have programs they never use in a long time loaded on start up. This slows down the booting up of the computer system as well as the performance when it is on. Some computer systems have just 2gb RAM (Random Access Memory). This is shared among the graphics and programs running on the computer system. The system with three unused programs running in the background is capable of denying the computer close to 250mb of the RAM. Hence it is better to close the programs not needed and remove them from start up. This will help to increase the speed and optimize the functionality of the computer.
3. Viruses:
This programs which are designed by black hat hackers and other cyber criminals are intended to frustrate computers and its users. Viruses which are set of instructions that can change system files, corrupt data and trigger unwanted browser activities makes computers systems act strange. Viruses try to please themselves before eventually allowing some computer programs run. Viruses also multiply themselves on a computer system as they gradually and systematically take over files on the computer. When viruses have successfully changed system files and other important files on the system it makes it difficult for the system software to communicate properly with application software. It also frustrates the computer’s ability to process information inputted by computer users. Some of these viruses include, To mention a few; We have Web Scripting Virus, Resident Virus, Boot Sector Virus, Polymorphic Virus, Browser Hijacker Virus, Direct Action Virus, Macro Virus, Multipartite Virus, File Infector Virus and Overwrite Viruses.
To get rid of these Viruses you need to install Original full version Antivirus software on your computer system. Some of these anti Viruses includes, Avast Antivirus, AVG Antivirus, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee Antivirus, Norton Antivirus and Kapersky Antivirus.
4. Hard disk Fragments :
5. Poor ventilation:
Some systems behave abnormally slow. This will happen when the system is not in a properly ventilated environment. Computer processors heat up when the system is up and running. The processor becomes hotter during multi-tasking operations, multi-threading operations, long hours of use and running applications that use large RAM to work when this happens the inbuilt fan that is programmed to cool the computer down may no longer be efficient. It is therefore recommended that computers should be given access to good ventilation, Laptop Cooling Pads, stand-by fan or air-conditioning unit.
6. Weak Motherboard:
Mother Board is a hardware unit of a computer system that holds system hardwares and softwares together which allows the computer to work together as a complete system capable of processing and manipulating information. Motherboards do not actually work forever but have a life span. The motherboard gets weaker over years of subsequent use. Some signs of a weak mother board includes Blue screen of Death while running, Slow Booting, Slow shut down, Slow processing of data, Regular system errors, going off totally during use and others. When this issues become more frequent and the computer is free from Viruses, hard disk errors and others, you should consider replacing your Motherboard or buying another system.
