The desire to use different operating systems for mobile devices prompt some phone users to change their phone even when it is not faulty. The large the RAM, the faster the phone especially when it has a fast processor attached to it. Low memory notification sometimes pop up on a phone when the memory is low. When this happens some programs that work normally will refuse to run. These issues is a wake up call that such phone users should get a new phone with a larger memory like 1gb, 1.5gb, 2gb or more.

The need for a bigger phone memory compel some users to change phones frequently. Some phones come with 8gb ROM or memory space with extra memory card slot that maybe up to 32gb. Phones with camera Mega Pixel that is above 5mp will quickly run out of memory if the owner is a selfie lover. Some High definition pictures can take as much space as 1.5mb or more. Although media contents as picture, songs and movies can be diverted to an external memory space, it doesn't apply to phone applications. Apps would rather stay and the internal phone memory and updates as well. This can make phone that are even up to 16gb run out of space quickly if the user loves many apps installed. This will compel such user to buy a new phone with bigger space soon afterwards.
Virus attack:
Some phones go crazy when infested by a virus. This can happen if the phone has a weak anti-virus software, an outdated anti-virus software or no anti-virus software at all. The phones system files get corrupted. Sometimes it is duplicated and replaced with a fake one. This makes the phone malfunction. When viruses find their way into a phone, important files and documents can be exposed and accessed by strangers on the internet. The phone may restart frequently on its own or open different application without the owners knowledge. Flashing such phone can repair the errors but some users may just consider this issue a right opportunity to change the phone.
Bigger Screen Size:
Some screen sizes of 4.7inches and below are considered small for some phone users. They may like big screen for use of multi-media content like playing movies or because of eye problems. Someone who is short sighted will problems reading small letters in small phone screens, hence they'll prefer to buy a bigger screen phone with bold characters which will be easy to read.
Expired Phone:
You may actually wonder if phones expire. Yes they do. Every phone has its expiry date and would malfunction if it is still being used after expiry. There are different ways of checking phone expiry date. It is advised to get new phones before they expire. Some people get new phones when it's expired because they have no choice since the phone is no longer usable.
